The Appalachian Trail Hikerby Anonymous - Published 3 months ago![]() A few months ago, me and a couple of friends decided to go camping on the Appalachian trail in Pennsylvania. The ingredients to a good time was: a lot of food and a lot of beer. We had everything planned and were ready to go and were all set. We drove to the spot, unpacked and started hiking about a mile into the woods. Everything was going great. We setup our tent and started our case of beer. As we were chatting, we noticed a few hikers running through the trail sporadically through the time we were there. My friend decided to be a nice guy and offered the hiker a NICE COLD BEER since he has been running for days. He chugged the whole thing and then something happened. All of the sudden he didn't feel so good. He took a seat in our chair and became unresponsive. I started asking him if he was okay. No response. I asked him if we should call for help... Again no response. At this point we all felt awkward and frustrated with him. I yelled out "Are you okay?" He responded by throwing up all over the place. Puke...ughh! He threw up directly in front of the tent's door opening. Since the lot for the tent was all cleared out and the tent was pinned down to the ground, it did not make sense to move it. However, we had to do something about the barf. It stunk and was in the middle of our seating area. We improvised and covered it with a whole bunch of leaves to disquise the smell. He did start talking after that point, but did not even apologize! He was more focused on his stomach. It comes to show you, being nice to people may not always work in your best interest. So long buddy... LikeDislikeFollow story Share
